Lyrics
Truth / Album TRUTH / 19.01.2019
Lyrics by Paul Dempsey
V 1
Beware faces of deception
Blending in with the crowd
They can cause problems
As long as they’re allowed
V 2
Truth lives in shallow waters
Most times in plain view
While lies seek the depths
Where no light shines through
Chorus
There’s nothing complex
Nothing to suspect
There’s no complicity
Like a newborn’s cry
That has never lied
Truth is simplicity
V 3
The truth can be enlightening
It can even show you the way
Other times very frightening
The words can be hard to say
Bridge
But there’s little to explain
It’s either day or its night
When all the color’s drained
What left is black or white
Chorus
There’s nothing complex
Nothing to suspect
There’s no complicity
Like a newborn’s cry
That has never lied
Truth is simplicity
