Lyrics
As Time Passes
Lyrics by Paul Dempsey /California
(v1)
As time passes
The edges seem to fade
No longer sharp
Dull like a well used blade
(v2)
As time passes
You get nearer the end
There are many goodbyes
To too many old friends
(chorus)
Life, with its twists and turns
Leaves us one lesson to learn
The dye is already cast
For it’s a well traveled road
And no matter the load
We’re all allowed to pass
(v3)
As time passes
Where does it go
And is it really gone
No one seems to know
(bridge)
With the passage of time
Comes wisdom, so I’m told
But for me it seems
I’ve just grown old
(chorus)
Life, with its twists and turns
Leaves us one lesson to learn
The dye is already cast
For it’s a well traveled road
And no matter the load
We’re all allowed to pass
