SUPERHERO / Single / May 2019
V1:
A prisoner of mortality
While underwater, he can't breathe
Through solid objects, he fails to see
Bullets would only make him bleed
V2:
No enchanted weapons in his reach
Can't get angry, muscular and green
Can't meld minds with creatures of the sea
Can't even defy gravity
Pre-Chorus:
Armed with a Microscope
Armed with gifted sight
He brought the world new hope
From darkness into light
CHORUS:
What defines a Superhero?
Is it extraordinary powers,
The Wealth and Grandeur of the Pharaoh,
Or saving lives in Darkest Hours?
Could one be a humble chemist
If he saved a million lives,
Defeating an unseen menace?
Only 1 man can claim this prize
V3:
Immune to disease and full of life
Only Pasteur's cattle survived
Proving he had always been right
He saved France from it's worst plight
V4:
From Russia, he heard their cries
Save us from the Rabid bite!
Evict the madness deep inside
He cured them on that fateful night
Could one be a humble chemist
If he saved a million lives,
Defeating an unseen menace?
Only 1 man can claim this prize
Bridge:
Simple words, but Extremely important
Doctors, boil your medical instruments
From elbow to finger tips everytime
Scrub your hands and you will save lives
CHORUS:
What defines a Superhero?
Is it extraordinary powers,
The Wealth and Grandeur of the Pharaoh,
Or saving lives in Darkest Hours?
Could one be a humble chemist
If he saved a million lives,
Defeating an unseen menace?
No other soul can claim this prize
Ending
Armed with a Microscope
Armed with gifted sight
He brought the world new hope
From darkness into light
