Lyrics
Nature of Things
Lyrics by Paul Dempsey/California
(v1)
Some think faith will keep them safe
But it only lessens the fear
Others think wealth brings endless health
Don’t believe what you hear
(v2)
Everyone must pass through that final door
And enter the unknown
No lessons learned because no one’s returned
Everyone’s on their own
(chorus)
Life’s end is inevitable
Whether weak or strong
When that final bell rings
It’s not right or wrong
It’s just the nature of things
(v3)
When one is born, they start life’s journey
One that does have an end
But what’s in between the start and the finish
Is what makes it worthwhile, my friend
(bridge)
Everyone must face the unknown
It’s not something anyone can postpone
So live each day, don’t let any slip away
Live them before they become yesterday
(chorus)
Life’s end is inevitable
Whether weak or strong
When that final bell rings
It’s not right or wrong
It’s just the nature of things
