Lyrics
The Wheel
Lyrics by Paul Dempsey/California
(v1)
How many times have you started over
How many turns of the wheel did you get
Have you reached that ideal place in life
Or maybe you haven’t gotten there yet
(v2)
The reasons for change are many
Some are unexpected, some are planned
And you will find that hardly any
Have reasons that are easy to understand
(chorus)
It’s that time again
You watch the wheel spin
You close your eyes as it starts to slow
Waiting for a new chapter to begin
Your fate will be revealed
With the stopping of the wheel
(v3)
Maybe it’s an opportunity you never dreamed of
And it requires you to start anew
Or you’ve met a person that you think you love
And you’re learning things you never knew
(bridge)
Maybe it was a result of a tragic event
Or it was a relationship gone wrong
Each spin has it winners and losers
And change, it happens all life long
(chorus)
It’s that time again
You watch the wheel spin
You close your eyes as it starts to slow
Waiting for a new chapter to begin
Your fate will be revealed
With the stopping of the wheel
